What we offer Arts and culture Projects with children and young people Young Producers Young Producers is a project giving young people in Worcestershire the opportunity to design and host a creative event. This year, 13 Young Producers aged 13-18 made their own creative event, ‘Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow’, which they held as part of the Severn Arts Summer Festival on 28 June 2025. Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow How can we make a sustainable world for the generation of tomorrow? ‘Creating a Sustainable Tomorrow’ was our Young Producer’s event showcasing their ideas for creating a sustainable future. They aimed to foster joy and sustainability in the arts, and their event combined a craft station, an upcycling fashion workshop, live music and an art exhibition. Craft station Ocean themed interactive workshops to show sustainable ways of crafting, including badgemaking, jewellery making and keychain making. Upcycling fashion workshop Celebrate sustainable fashion by breathing new life into old clothes – print eco-conscious slogans on T-shirts and transform worn bags and shoes with beads and paint. Art exhibition and interactive sculpture An exhibition of collaborative and personal work on the theme of decay, impermanence and regeneration. We want to inspire people to think about what makes them grow. Live music Live music DJ sets, and a recycled CD and vinyl stage! Pick a record and play it – you set the vibe! Summer Festival The Severn Arts Summer Festival is a vibrant celebration of music, art and creativity. The 2025 Summer Festival took place on Saturday 28 June at Worcester Guildhall, Arch 27, Worcester Cathedral and St Andrew’s Church. We are hugely grateful to The Arts Society Worcester and MAC Makes Music for providing funding for the Young Producers project. Manage Cookie Preferences
