Imagine a gifted young musician who excels at their instrument yet is held back from opportunities to elevate their talent because of the extra costs involved. For many children and young people, this is the reality.

Perform exists to remove the financial barriers that stop children and young people from taking part in our bands and orchestras, concerts, international tours or residentials.

With your help, every young musician can experience the joy, pride and confidence that comes from performing together.

Why Perform matters

Playing in a band or orchestra is more than music. It builds teamwork, discipline, self-worth and a sense of belonging.

But these experiences come with costs that many families simply cannot afford, and those financial pressures are often the reason a young person steps back from performing.

Your support ensures that cost is never the reason a talented young musician can’t participate.

An international tour is often the highlight of a young musician’s year. But without donor support, many families simply cannot afford the additional fees attached.

Provide bursaries to support tour costs for young musicians who would otherwise not be able to participate
