As part of this years Summer Festival, we are delighted to offer a FREE workshop opportunity!

Do you play the Guitar and are KS2 aged? Then this workshop is for you!

Grab your guitars and join the National Youth Guitar Ensemble for our big play-along. We will be creating a pop-up guitar orchestra and having fun learning some pieces together on the day ready for a celebratory concert at the end for friends and family. Whatever your level of experience, you’ll be playing alongside our team of guitarists from the National Youth Guitar Ensemble and there’s lots of new guitar-friends to be made!

Who this is for: KS2 age

Experience level: most suitable for players who have completed at least one term of guitar learning. No music reading required.

What to bring: acoustic or classical guitars (not electric). If you use a guitar support (e.g. footstool) bring that too.

Timing: 12:00-2:00

Where: St Andrew’s Methodist Church, Pump Street, Worcester, WR1 2QT

About the National Youth Guitar Ensemble

The National Youth Guitar Ensemble works with young classical guitarists aged 12-18 from all over the country. We have three regional centres in London, Cardiff and Birmingham who meet for monthly rehearsals followed by residential guitar camps at Easter and in the summer holidays. Our entry level is a standard of Grade 4 or more for our Foundation Ensemble moving up to Camerata and then the Fellowship Ensemble who are young professional guitarists beginning their careers. You can find out more by visiting www.guitarcircus.org.uk

The NYGE will be performing on the Guildhall Courtyard stage at 2:30pm!
