Part amateur science, part lockdown art project, part love of slide projectors, part love of nature. Macroscopic finds beauty and wonder in the overlooked world around us. Using actual objects in the projector’s slide gate allows you to capture more detail, verging into the microscopic. Then when the objects are projected into the world
, instead of peered at through a small aperture, they show the viewer there is a world without pixels. 


About Chris Plant

Chris Plant is a Midlands based light artist who has been working with light, projection, code and live visuals. Visuals have been his overriding passion since the early 1990s when he first started doing live projections with 16mm cine and 35mm slide projectors. His artwork has been seen at a variety of music and art festivals across Europe including, Supersonic Festival Birmingham and Dancing on Ice.
