What's on Bridges of Light Iridescent Light Trail by Catt Standen, Creative Lead of Worcester BID In collaboration with Warndon and Ronkswood Community Hubs and St Helen's Church Audio Guide Your browser does not support the audio element. Please click here to download the file A total of 60 cubes are displayed in the windows of 10 businesses across Worcester city centre. Each cube is crafted from recycled iridescent boards onto which young people, in workshops held at Warndon Community Hub, St Helen’s Church, and Ronkswood Community Hub, were invited to write and draw their visions of hope using white pens. Each cube is a physical representation of the “building blocks” of hope, reflecting how hope is something that grows and strengthens over time. Together, the cubes symbolise the first steps in building a bridge — a metaphorical structure that helps us overcome challenges and navigate through dark times towards brighter futures. About Catt Standen, Creative Lead of Worcester BID Catt is a visual artist, curator and creative based in Worcester. With a deep love of colour, botanical motifs, and layered pattern work, her work brings a distinctive sense of life and character to every surface it touches. Community engagement sits at the heart of her approach, and she has led a variety of projects designed to celebrate creativity and bring people together. Recently, she was the creative lead on The Wall of Hope — a collaborative mural project created with local community hubs and installed on a large wall in ASDA’s car park. Inspired by the shared vision of hope, the piece became a powerful symbol of togetherness. Through her work — whether painting a city wall, designing an exhibition, or guiding a group through a workshop — Catt continues to explore the beauty of connection and the ways art can inspire, uplift, and transform public spaces.
