Audio Guide
Viewing Points
Cygnet Song is eight minutes long and is on a continuous loop. Please note the artwork cannot be seen if you are standing on the bridge; please make your way down to the riverside next to Brown's restaurant, where you will find two viewing points with accompanying soundscape.

Viewing point one: Next to Browns at The Quay, at the bottom of Quay Street

Viewing point two: Further down Severn Way next to the steps leading to Copenhagen Street Car Park

Please note the artwork cannot be seen if you are standing on the bridge. The viewing points for this installation are on Severn Way and not on the opposite side of the river (i.e. Worcestershire County Cricket Club side).

Cygnet Song transforms Worcester’s main bridge across the Severn into a stunning light artwork. Working with local people and groups in Worcester, the tale of the Ugly Duckling was used by the artists to explore themes of resilience, strength, wellbeing and personal growth. The projection created brings our communities together, celebrating the journey of finding and embracing your own unique song.

Commissioned by Bridges of Light, Worcester 2025, with funding from Public Health, Worcestershire County Council.

About Carnforth Primary School, Furness Close Residents and Get, Set, Grow

Carnforth Primary School in Warndon inspires excellence and creates a strong community for children aged 3–11.

Furness Close residents come together for activities, connection, and support, over a cuppa, cake, and conversation.

Get, Set, Grow, is an uplifting project helping people learn to grow food and build independence in a supportive community.
