What's on Bridges of Light Bird Songs by Lou Chapelle In collaboration with our Cultural Feast Audio Guide Your browser does not support the audio element. Please click here to download the file Wander in the garden to discover beautiful illuminated holographic birds. Accompanied by a soundscape of human voices and birdsong, the work is inspired by our desire to build and cross bridges, both physical and metaphorical. In most cultures, birds are seen as messengers, crossing frontiers and oceans, and overcoming barriers to reach out to loved ones. For Worcester's Bridges of Light Festival, new species of birds were invented and hand-drawn in collaboration with diverse community groups, then brought to life using AI tools. Their soundscape creates a chorus for environmental and social justice. Soundtrack created in collaboration with sound artist Laura Campbell.
